Blast1D is a platform-independent, user-friendly graphical interface software tool for analysis and design of blast-resistant reinforced concrete structural members. It allows engineers, professionals and researchers to predict the blast load parameters and obtain the single-degree of freedom (SDOF) response of the system along with displacement-time history graphs for triangular and exponential loading conditions for both linear and nonlinear systems. The software also provides the result of Normal and Oblique reflection of blast-wave and its effect on target structure. Comprehensive assessment and pre-verification of structural design, and reinforcement detailing give the primary idea about structural behaviour. Separate tabs are assigned to design the structures for Flexural, Diagonal Shear and Direct Shear according to the Indian Standard (IS) code for Dynamic as well as Impulsive loading regime.

Major Features:

  • Auto-calculation of blast loading parameters for sphere and hemisphere type detonations.
  • Pressure-history and Triangular Idealisation of Blast Wave profile.
  • Blast-wave reflection parameters and cleared pressure-history for oblique reflection of blast loads.
  • Calculation of equivalent reflected pressure and specific impulse for non-uniform loads with tabular database.
  • Graph showing the variation of specific impulse and reflected pressure along the height.
  • Linear and nonlinear response estimation of flexural members (Beams/Columns & Slabs).
  • Displacement-history graphs with analytical and numerical solutions.
  • Assessment and complete design of RCC members (Beams & Columns).
  • Figures of structural drawing and reinforcement detailing.
  • Graphs, charts, design summary, downloadable data sheets and exhaustive reports.
