Our work on influence on fluid-structure-interaction (FSI) on blast response of SDOF systems has been published to ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering. This paper proposes a new model and provides methodology to include FSI in simplified methods of analysis. link.
We have published a paper assessing effect of damping modeling decision on in-structure response of base-isolated structures, especially relevant to nuclear structures. The strategies proposed so far focuses on addressing issues with moment frame structures. These damping solutions don't work for non-frame type structures and for acceleration response. This paper addresses those issues. link.
